There are a number of good weed tools on the market. I’ll point out a few and if you have any others you’d like to recommend, please leave a comment.
The Telesco weeder is a good option. It telescopes to the proper height, and it has a great grip. As long as you get the weeds as they’re just starting to sprout, this tool will take them out at the roots much like the circular hoe. For hardy or established weeds, the Weed Wrench is highly recommended. It comes in four sizes and the larger sizes can even pull small trees. Another alternative is the Fisker uprooter weeder. It features a lightweight aluminum shaft attached to stainless steel blades that grab roots tightly. Just step on the lever and the weed is uprooted.
Of course, you could always buy a goat to eat your weeds.
